New guide for sexual
health abroad
17 May, 2006
New guide to sexual
health services abroad is being launched in the
Republic of Ireland.
It provides information on where holiday-makers should
go if they are concerned about sexually transmitted
infections (STIs) or unplanned pregnancies while overseas.
More than two million Irish people travel abroad every
year, sparking concern about a rising rate of STIs.
Gabrielle Malone of the Marie Stopes Reproductive Choices
Centre has said the new `Back Pocket Guide to Sexual
Health Around the World` will provide vital information
for those travelling abroad.
